Correction, Retraction and Expression of Concern
Agroindustrial Technology Journal (ATJ) is committed to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the published scholarly record. When significant errors or concerns are identified after publication, the journal will assess the evidence and take appropriate editorial action.
Corrections
A correction may be issued for errors that can be amended without invalidating the main findings or conclusions. Examples include errors in author details, figures, tables, calculations, funding information, or other material inaccuracies.
Correction notices will identify the affected article, explain the error, and describe the changes made. The notice and original article will be linked where technically feasible.
Expressions of Concern
An expression of concern may be published when credible questions arise about an article's reliability or integrity but the available evidence is insufficient for a final decision. The notice will inform readers of the concern while further assessment or investigation proceeds.
An expression of concern is not, by itself, a finding of misconduct.
Retractions
An article may be retracted when reliable evidence shows that its findings are substantially unreliable or that a serious publication-integrity issue warrants retraction.
Grounds may include major errors, confirmed data fabrication or falsification, substantial plagiarism, unethical research practices, or duplicate publication that compromises the scholarly record.
A retraction is an editorial action concerning the article's reliability and does not automatically establish that every author committed misconduct.
Reporting an Error or Concern
Authors, readers, reviewers, and other parties may report a suspected error or integrity concern to the ATJ Editorial Office. Reports should include the article title, DOI or URL, a description of the issue, and supporting evidence where available.
Editorial Decision and Publication of Notices
ATJ will assess the available evidence fairly and may consult authors, independent experts, or relevant institutions when necessary. Authors will normally be given an opportunity to respond to material concerns.
Formal notices will clearly identify the affected article and explain the reason for the editorial action. Where technically feasible, the original article will remain accessible with a clear correction or retraction notice and links to the relevant notice.
ATJ will consider relevant COPE guidance and take proportionate action to protect readers and maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.
